First comes your decision
The entry wulaverto.space.choice.v1 records whether optional display storage is allowed and when that decision expires. The maximum lifetime is 180 days. On a later visit, an expired decision is discarded and the small choice panel can appear again.
Then, only with permission
The entry wulaverto.space.motion.v1 contains a reduced-motion setting only after you allow preferences. Necessary only removes that optional entry. Motion can still be reduced during the current visit without keeping the setting for the next one.
What is deliberately absent
No cookie or local-storage entry holds the board, your score, an opponent profile or a visitor identifier. There are no advertising and analytics categories because those systems are not included. Essential storage here means remembering the choice itself, not monitoring the game.
Changing course
Open Cookie settings from any footer to replace your decision. Clearing preferences below removes only Wulaverto’s two named entries; it does not clear unrelated websites or change the match currently in memory. The system-level reduced-motion setting remains respected.
When the browser says no
Private browsing, local-file previews and device settings may restrict persistent storage. The controls are handled without requiring storage, but the choice may last only for that page. You can still use the board and read every information page.
